Martial Arts Background & History
Professionally, Robert is a ballroom dance instructor, a background that contributes to his awareness of movement, timing, and body mechanics. He initially began training in Kajukenbo to learn practical self-defense, but quickly discovered a much deeper experience through the art.
Through his training, Robert became part of a close-knit Bay Area Kajukenbo ohana. He has trained alongside respected practitioners, including stick and knife martial artists, and has developed strong relationships within the Kajukenbo community. The sense of respect, shared growth, and extended ohana has been a defining aspect of his martial arts journey.
