Today we celebrate 100 years since the birth of Sijo Adriano D. Emperado — 1926–2026.

Happy Birthday, Sijo Emperado.

Founder of Kajukenbo. Teacher. Fighter. Innovator. A man whose influence traveled from Hawaiʻi to generations of martial artists around the world.

What began in Palama grew far beyond anything one person could carry alone. Today, every school, every instructor, every student, and every generation that continues to practice Kajukenbo is part of the legacy he helped set in motion.

One hundred years later, your influence is still here.

Happy 100th birthday, Sijo. We miss you. We remember you. And we continue to carry Kajukenbo forward.

- KSDI, Kimo Emperado and the Emperado Family.
