In light of the storms heading for the Hawaiian islands, I hope and pray that our Kajukenbo Ohana will all be safe and in God's hands, as well as all the people on all of
the islands!  Good luck and be safe.
May God be with you all,
GM Gary Forbach

Mahalo for everyone's concern. All said, things could have been a lot worse. Folks on the Big Island got the brunt of it, many are still without electricity. It seems that Hurricane Iselle decided to try a direct hit on the East side of the Big Island, something that has not happened in recorded history. She tried to take on three Hawaiian entities at once:  Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Madame Pele (Goddess of Fire, who is said to reside in the Kilauea Volcano). The result was Iselle getting knocked out, dispersed into several directions, and unable to re-form well enough to do as much damage as what could have happened if she went around the Big Island first. That other hurricane, Julio, saw what happened and decided to head off in another direction, away from us. Hope he keeps heading away. The media coverage on The Weather Channel was awesome, and meteorologists everywhere had one of the best weather seminars of their lives.
I'm thankful these Islands have a way of protecting themselves most of the time.
Aloha.
