HOW DO I POST PICTURES?

There are two ways to post pictures.  Small pictures can be posted directly from your computer by just:
1.  Going to the “Post Reply” page for your topic.
2.  At the bottom is a line named “Attach” with a “Browse” button.
3.  Clicking on the “Browse” button will take you to your computer files.
4.  Find the filename for the picture you want to post and double click it.
5.  The file name should now show in the “Attach” line.
6.  Type whatever message text you want and then just click “Post”

Larger pictures, or multiple pictures can be posted by using one of  the “picture hosting websites” on the net.  A free one that I have had good luck with is: www.imagestation.com  You will have to have your pictures saved on the picture hosting site

1.  Go to your picture on the site and right click on the picture.
2.  You will see a drop down list. Click on “Properties”
3.  Hi lite the complete “Address” (ULR) and right click on it, and copy.
4.  Now go to the “start new topic” or “reply” on the Kajukenbo Café where you will post your pictures.
5.  At the top of the “Start New Topic” or “Reply” window you will see 2 rows of buttons.  Click the 4th from the left button on the second row.  Paste the "address" between the (img) and the (/img) symbols.   Except  "( )"  symbols will actually be  "[ ]" symbols.  Should look like this:

(img)http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid105/p5c760b6186feb21b7f8d610b53a2d748/f97492d8.jpg(/img)

6.  Write your text to go with the picture.  If you want to post more than one picture, then you will have to click the “Image” button for each picture and paste the address between the (img) and the (/img) symbols.
More information in the "click and learn" section.

CAN I CUT AND PASTE INTERESTING INFORMATION FROM OTHER WEBSITES TO THE CAFE?

For the most part, information posted on websites have the same copyright protections as written material and media.  Unless you have the express permission from the sites owner/author, please do not cut and paste someone else's material to the Cafe.   This also applies to other forms of printed media like magazines and newsletters.
You can post a link to the website where the material is located.
Any links to sites which contain "adult type" advertising, or links to adult websites is not appropriate for posting here, since we do have youth members, and children of members who view these posts.

WHY DOES IT SAY "WHITE BELT" UNDER MY NAME?

The forum software attaches elevating titles under each members names as they make more and more posts.  It has nothing to do with your actual rank.  As you make more posts the belt colors change.
Even if you have another title such as "Moderator" or "Black Belt", there will still be a color belt title under that showing how many posts you have made.

White Belt     0       Posts
Yellow Belt    50     Posts
Blue Belt       100    Posts
Brown Belt    500    Posts
Black Belt      1000  Posts  (Signifies post count only, Not the same as the "Black Belt" member title.)

WHAT ARE THE OTHER TITLES?

"Adminstrator", "Global Moderator", "Moderator", and "Black Belt".

WHAT DO THESE TITLES MEAN?

Myself and Sibak Rob Poelking are "Adminstrators".  Sibak Rob is also the owner of the forum.  The adminstrators see to the technical and non-technical, daily operation of the forum.

WHAT ARE "MODERATORS"?

One or two moderators supervise each section of the Cafe.  They are all Kajukenbo black belts.  They generally lend their expertise and support to the Cafe.  They also make sure that the topics and conversations in their sections are conducted politely and respectfully, while at the same time allowing for differing viewpoints.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERANCE BETWEEN "GLOBAL MODERATORS", AND "MODERATORS"?

Moderators holding the rank of 8th or 9th degree in Kajukenbo are "Global Moderators".  Global Moderators have the ability to moderate and make technical deletions/changes/moves to topics and posts in all of the sections of the forum.

"Moderators" are those ranked in Kajukenbo from 1st to 7th degree.  Their ability to make deletions/changes/moves to topics and posts is technically limited to the section that they are assigned to.

WHAT DOES THE "BLACK BELT" TITLE MEAN?

This title is only given to those non-staff adult members who hold the rank of Black Belt in Kajukenbo.  Kajukenbo means Kajukenbo, not any of the offshoot branches.
These adult black belt members have exclusive access to another section reserved for black belt & instructor discussions.

WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE MEMBERS OF THE KAJUKENBO CAFE?

The membership is made up of over 238 Kajukenbo Black Belts, including Sijo Emperado, 15 Grandmasters, 16 Professors, and 964 general members who hold various Kajukenbo ranks, along with many members of other systems.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PUT MY TRUE NAME ON MY POSTS?

We are a forum who's purpose is to bring the worldwide Kajukenbo family closer together, and educate others about our system.  Hard to get to know people when we don't know who they are.
And we also want to avoid the kind of people who troll around forums causing problems while hiding behind annonimity.

SO WHO PAYS FOR THE CAFE?

Hopefully all of us that enjoy the Cafe do.
Sibak Rob and the staff donate their time and energy to keeping this forum availiable for the Kajukenbo family and others.
No advertizing is sold, so all the funds to operate this forum are either donated by members/staff, or have to be paid by Sibak Rob.   So please donate a few dollars whenever you can.

If you haven't read this post, please read it.  Especially the restrictions on what type of material can be posted, or linked to.
