"Close The Door, Let's Train!" EVENT
« on: May 01, 2012, 10:55:34 PM »
Goal: To have as many KSDI Kajukenbo Black Belts training at the same time in different parts of the country and world at different schools in warrior spirit and harmony. To allow kajukenbo BB's to meet and train in different regions. This is the initial gathering of a reoccurring event that will bring a form of brother and sisterhood to KSDI. This is not a spectator or photo op event, bring your Gi, put on your Black Belts, and let’s train.

There will be a synchronized tribute for the inaugural: To the best of our ability and with consideration of time zones we will try to synchronize Kajukenbo prayer times as well as a 1-2-3 "SIJO" cheer and "Kiai" to echo across the country/World.  We will also end the sessions by doing Pinions 4 and 7 in honor of Master Joe Emperado.

Inaugural “KICK”-off for the Black Belt Society KSDI training. The theme will be "In the Spirit of Sijo, Close the Door, Let's Train" and “Blood Sweat & Tears” in honor of Master Joseph Emperado.

First Date: Saturday 16 June 2012 in honor of Sijo's Birthday weekend.

So far the West Coast is represented by:
-Grand Master Emil Bautista at 974 Benecia Rd., the longest standing kajukenbo school in the mainland.
-Grand Master Kingi will host in Southern California
-Dragon’s Den in Northern California headed by Sigung Jeff Macalolooy

We are looking for additional schools and or hosts, for additional info and ppt of event please private message and or go to FB page:

Grand Master Hemenes, agree 100%.

This event is absolutely open to all of Kajukenbo. It is sponsored by KSDI however; if your style is Kajukenbo, you come from Sijo's lineage and are more than welcome, we are all family. The bottom line is that we get better as martial artists and make Kajukenbo better as a martial art by training old school, the way Kajukenbo should be trained.
