Congratulations Guys and Gals...I'm really looking forward to the Fight Quest episode tonight.  I found your site by accident but have enjoyed reading your blogs and learning (a little) about your style.  I study Tang Soo Do, a korean traditional style.  My Teacher is a traditionalist in that he teaches in a way that warriors, years ago when fighting for survival would appreciate.  I sense that your style has a similar philisophical basis.....survival and quality of life.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to the show!  Best Regards,
Jim

Kajukenbo Ohana,

Great job on the Fight Quest show!  Some of those scenes were just pure, raw fighting.  The warehouse and park scenes were a great changeup.  I'll be hitting up Matt for change every time I see him.  And it was kinda funny to see Prof. Bono sharpening his blade in the back of the park scene.  I recognized a lot of Kaju faces, and the show was put together well.  Also, great job at the Tribull training center.  Even though the place looks modern, the training is still street-looking.   And the fights were rough and tumble.  I recognized Mickey and Matt in the tussle. Finally, some long-deserved recognition for the SF Bay Area Kajukenbo groups.

Gints

P.S. I'll try to post a rip of the show soon.

The show was great and I would like to Thanks GM Gaylord and GM Harper for doing a out standing job representing KAJUKENBO and Master Mark Gerry for his part on putting this together, and to all the guys that were out there working hard I understand GM Gaylord dedicated the Show to Sijo but was edit out of the show do to time no one can have them just put what ever they want on the show they have a time frame they have to meet so they will edit out what ever they want.., So Thank  you GM Gaylord. I like the ideal that these guys were trained by Kajukenbo Grand Masters and other instructor to fight our style rather than like the other shows were they were just beat down by these highter belts from other systems, it showed they were trained very well and they used the things they were taught.  Hated to see our guy get beat but as we say KAJUKENBO is for real there is no faking the funk here any of us can get beat anytime......Great Job all..

Much Love and Respect

Thumbs up GM Harper.  When I visited Sijo and GM Gumataotao at his house back in the very eary 90s at his house, Sijo wanted me to drink beer with him while training.  This would prepare ourselves  in case we were out drinking and had to defend ourselve incase we got drunk. It would show us balance, like drunken KAJU  ;D. We all know majority of us like to drink, so we need to be prepare at all times.
