Came across HighGear, which is Tony Blauer's version of the Redman /  FIST suits...
Be sure to comment about them if you visit the site or actually have tried them.

I had a DVD on Blauer's suit. It looked OK. I never actually used one though. We use both the RedMan and the Fist. They each have positive and negative aspects to them. We use a combination of the RedMan and the Fist. We use the RedMan chest protector, arm and leg pads and the Fist groin protector.

The groin protector (diaper) on the Fist suit is probably the single best piece of equipment from any of the training suits for Kajukenbo. Many of our techniques have a groin shot. With this protector on you can take a full kick or strike to the groin. With the other pads in place you can blast the person throughout the technique. It's pretty amazing.

We like the RedMan helmet better than the Fist helmet. It takes a better shot. You still get rattled, but you can handle a few good shots which helps the student a lot because they can strike hard. The face shield though cuts our hands up, so even then there is a negative coming out of a positive.

Do you still use an athletic cup under the FIST groin protecting diaper?
Or is the diaper sufficient even with the hard strikes?
